As a publicly appointed and sworn expert, I have been managing an expert's office for structural damage and defects for over 22 years. Locations in Dresden and Nuremberg. We answer questions on wood as a building material, on damage caused by wood-destroying fungi and insects, on moisture and water damage, mould and mildew problems, crack formation, optical and technical defects, acceptability of defects, and Compliance with the generally accepted rules of technology. We work on cross-departmental tasks, involve specialist laboratories or other experts. In our appraisals facts are established, causes determined, conclusions drawn and technical advice regarding necessary renovations or repair measures. We provide advice and are responsible for regular inspections and monitoring; we analyse and rate. In addition to many years of experience, we have extensive specialist knowledge and basic legal knowledge. Our expert activities include e.g. damage reports, preservation of evidence, arbitration reports, advice on the purchase of real estate and surveys of the condition of buildings. We work, in addition to their work as experts, in the teaching and research as well as in various expert committees. Our Office is German-wide active.
In order to obtain the quality seal of the public order, complex test cases have to be passed. Our work is under the constant supervision of the ordering body commissioned by the state (Ingenieurkammer, Industrie- und Handelskammer). Therefore, continuous further education and development are a self-evident fact for us.
